About Dream Workshop

Since 2015, the non-governmental organization “Dream Workshop” has been working in Ukraine to create a unique ecosystem of community-based services for young people with mental and complex disabilities.

Together we build a space where dreams become reality

The NGO “Dream Workshop” embodies the vision of an inclusive society — one where every person, regardless of their mental disability, feels accepted, included, and empowered to realize their potential.

We work to break down barriers and dismantle harmful stereotypes.

The public organization “Dream Workshop” was created to support and empower people with mental disabilities.

This is more than just a video — it’s our story.

At Dream Workshop, we create a space where young people with mental and complex disabilities don’t just receive services — they live, learn, build friendships, cook breakfast, tell jokes, and practice independence. This is a community born not from instructions, but from dreams, trust, and daily connection. We believe that every person has the right to be seen, to be valued, and to be included in community life — and we work every day to build just such an environment. Watch and experience the atmosphere of support, dignity, and real transformation.

Key Areas of Activity

We work to ensure that every person with mental disabilities has the opportunity to realize their potential and live a life of dignity.

Day Centers

Since January 2017, we have been helping young people socialize and develop self-care skills through a variety of activities: daily cooking classes, creative workshops, physical exercises, music therapy, book clubs, excursions, event planning, and psycho-emotional training. Currently, we operate two Centers.

Supported Living Homes

In early 2023, we launched our Supported Living program, which now includes two Homes. People who previously lived in closed institutions — such as psychoneurological boarding schools and psychiatric hospitals — were able to move in and begin a new chapter of their lives.

Family Support

We create opportunities for parents to work, recharge, or take time for themselves while their young people are at the Day Center or camp. For families of students, we organize psychological support groups, individual consultations for parents, and sessions with a behavioral therapist for the youth. We also work with each family to develop an individual student growth plan, helping to improve the quality of family life and address behavioral challenges. For families outside our services, we offer support groups with psychotherapists and other specialists.

Education and Advocacy

We work to overcome stereotypes and prejudices against people with mental disorders through educational events, public campaigns, and cooperation with the media. We actively advocate for the rights of people with disabilities, promote legislative changes, and organize trainings led by professionals to foster a better understanding of this group’s needs.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create conditions for a dignified life for people with mental disorders: to support their development, independence, and inclusion in the community.

We are building a space where every person feels needed, accepted, and has the opportunity to live a full life.
